A: Some motherboards will have RAM that is integrated into the motherboard. It is not easily removable. In that case, you would skip that test and proceed to the LCD test. A RAM problem for you would be the same as a motherboard issue :( Q: What if all the steps seen here have not worked? A: Have you tried the manual BIOS reset as seen here? If so, and if none of those fixes have helped, your most likely looking at a motherboard issue or a component on the motherboard that would involve soldering to replace. Would you like help with that? Q: The computer displays fine to an external monitor but not to its own screen. A: If your computer displays fine to an external monitor, then your issues could be a bad LCD, LCD cable, or a bad LCD cable port on the motherboard. I would reseat the cable at both ends to refresh the connection. If that fails to help, I would replace the LCD i thought about this and cable one at a time to find the broken part. Q: I only have 1 RAM stick. How can I test for the RAM? A: If you only just click the up coming post have 1 RAM stick, but 2 ports, you can still partially test. You can unplug the RAM and plug it back in to make sure its not just loose. You can also try it in each RAM port.
