We were tentative in and out of possession. Second half we had a lot more territory and created chances, but we didn’t take them. That’s on us as a group.” Despite being in control for much of the second period, Hearts failed to seriously test the Motherwell goalkeeper, with Lawrence Shankland missing a golden chance in the final moments. “When he got in, I thought it was in. That chance summed up our last two performances – creating enough, but not finishing.” 🔁 Neil Critchley tactical tweaks after the break Critchley explained his half-time substitutions, noting that Motherwell’s setup forced him to adjust. “They sat off us more than we expected.
