Michael Doran is Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute, specialising in Middle East security issues. In the administration of George W. Bush, Doran served as a senior director in the National Security Council, senior advisor in the State Department and deputy assistant secretary of defense in the Pentagon. His book, Ike’s Gamble: America’s Rise to Dominance in the Middle East, was published by Free Press in 2016.
