Ladan Boroumand is cofounder and research director of the Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation (ABF) for the Promotion of Human Rights and Democracy in Iran. She is the author and co-author of several articles on the French Revolution, the Islamic revolution of Iran, and the nature of Islamist terrorism. She was the recipient of the Lech Walesa Prize (2009), shared with Roya Boroumand.
