Anshel Pfeffer has been a working journalist since 1997 and joined Ha’aretz in 2014 covering military, Jewish and international affairs. He is also the Israeli correspondent for The Economist and The Times. Pfeffer’s column ‘Jerusalem & Babylon’ in Ha’aretz covers issues relating to Israel and to Jewish identity. Our Voice of the Fortnight is “The Lachish Story”, a film from the Steven Spielberg Archive at Hebrew University. The film shows Moroccan immigrants’ journey from France to Israel in the early years of statehood, and the adjustment of one family to life in a moshav in the Lachish region.
