We go over secants, and one interesting property about them in today's math lesson! A secant of a circle is a line that passes through the circle, intersecting it in exactly two points. Secants are usually lines, extending infinitely in both direction. However, you may also see a line segment or a ray be referred to as a secant so long as it intersects the circle exactly twice and is not contained entirely within the circle.
