Fathom Highlight | Two interviews with MK Ayman Odeh and Yossi Kupperwasser / 8 August / 2017

Our Fathom Highlight this week is two new interviews. First is MK Ayman Odeh, the leader of the Joint List – the third largest parliamentary bloc in the 20th Knesset – who speaks about the political and social aspirations of the Arab minority in Israel, the difficult task of leading the four-party Arab coalition and his vision for a new Israeli politics of equality and social justice. Second is Brig. Gen. (res.) Yossi Kupperwasser, former director general of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, who challenges the idea that Israel is no longer committed to the two-state solution, pointing instead to some central features of ‘the Palestinian narrative’ as the main obstacle to peace.
